This report is based on the classroom observation and experience of teaching English to elementary level class in Excel Academy. This paper is focused on the teaching methodologies, different aspects of classroom management issues and how ESL methods are applied in elementary classes (nursery). Classroom management is an important issue for the new teacher as well as an experienced teacher. Teacher needs to focus not only on the teaching skill but also on classroom management issues to avoid disruptive behavior of the students. A teacher needs to choose his/her teaching methods depending on the nature of the subject matter, the students, the goal of the course and the school facilitators. This report reviews some ESL methods like Grammar-Translation Method (GTM), Direct Method, Audio-Lingual Method (ALM), Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), etc. The functions of these methods are different as Grammar-translation method focuses on the L1 or native language, the Direct method focuses on the target language, the Audio-lingual method helps in habit formation through repetition of correct utterance, encouraged and supported by positive reinforcement, CLT aims to have a meaningful communication in the class. This report also includes some problems faced during the internship and some recommendations regarding it.en_US
