    Abstract
    AKTEL, since its inception has experienced increasing growth trend. At present, AKTEL has achieved a subscriber base of approximately 7.36 million. The company has a number of plans for the forthcoming future years. Currently AKTEL is concentrating on the SME (small and medium enterprise) market in Bangladesh. This research intends to explore the current SME scenario in our country and the need of that segment which would provide an over all idea about the outline of the proposed AKTEL SME package. In addition, company background part added for the readers to know more about the company, its products and services. This research used a semi-structured questionnaire. Total 55 respondents from Dhaka city were taken for this research. Based on their response, the analysis has been made. Based on the findings and analysis, a proposed marketing mix for the AKTEL SME is given. These recommendations will definitely help the company to develop the AKTEL SME package. Finally, this research will encourage further study and useful guidelines for these types of researches.
