Recruitment and selection process of Chevron Bangladesh Ltd.

This internship report is based on the Recruitment and Selection process of Chevron Bangladesh and how a vacant position is recognized and filled up. In the beginning of the report the industry and company background is provided to familiarize with the overall business along with the operational activities done within the country of Chevron Bangladesh and also the organization structure and vision for the future are being presented. Chevron Bangladesh is actively involved in various CSR activities which are mentioned in this report. In the following chapters, there is a brief description of my experience of four months as an intern for Government Affairs followed by the whole HR process of Chevron Bangladesh. In the later part of the report, I have conducted a small survey pointing out some key factors to target on the whole selection process. The survey was conducted randomly on permanent employees, contractual employees including interns. After conducting the survey on some random existing employees of Chevron Bangladesh, I have done an analysis between the real HR processes being implemented in the company with what the employees actually feel about it. In the HR process, I went through the general procedures along with some in depth study on the recruitment of various job positions also the selection of employees. Complying with data privacy is an absolute requirement according to the company policy. Therefore, I had to make sure that the tasks I was assigned to were done by maintaining complete data privacy and so I needed to be sure that the documentations were properly kept and maintained at all time. Finally the report is concluded by suggesting some recommendations for the company based on my findings from analyzing the survey results and also an overall recommendation is provided with the limited knowledge and experience I possess.
