    Abstract
The purpose of this study is to figure out relevant depth the efficacy and ways of implementing form focused instruction based on theoretical claims and research findings. In recent years, the role of form focused instruction has become a matter of great concern in the field of second language acquisition. Therefore, this paper tried to identify whether FFI is a facilitator or barrier for Bangladeshi tertiary level learners and also the effective pedagogical practices in this area. A sample population was selected that constitutes 110 students and 10 teachers from 5 educational institutions in Dhaka that practice FFI. In addition, a mixed method approach was used to collect data from the participants which includes 1) close ended-question, 2) open –ended question and 3) class observation checklist. Further, it also revealed where the concern of researches and teachers can be brought together in future.
