This paper investigates the enrollment behavior of the female students of private universities in Bangladesh. By collecting data from a sample of 900 female students of twelve private universities classified into two strata, researchers conducted reliability test, descriptive analysis, chi-square and ANOVA tests and identified a number of key findings as to the enrollment behavior of female students. The research shows that the female students mostly prefer BBA program followed by BA in English. In the faculty of Science and Engineering, BS in Pharmacy gets the highest preference. In Post Graduate level MBA and M.A in English are the preferred subjects. The most important factor for the female students of one strata (top ranked private universities) during admission is the quality of teaching of the university, followed by the image of that university. On the contrary, the female students of other private universities look for lower tuition fees of their preferred program. For the both strata parents' decision has a significant influence. Finally, the female students of top ranked universities are highly satisfied with the image of their universities while the female students of other universities are dissatisfied with the overall performance of their universities.

This paper explores students' language learning motivation and the factors that motivate and demotivate them in English learning at BRAC University. A total of 124 ENG-091 students were surveyed in summer 2009 and asked about their reasons for learning English, whether they felt motivated in attending their classes and the factors that motivate and demotivate them. Also suggestions are given on how ENG-091 can be developed further so that students feel intrinsically motivated to learn language for their own sake rather than for external rewards such as grades and a good job as the findings suggest.

This paper aims at finding determinants of entry mode choices for MNCs that enter emerging economy nations as wholly owned subsidiaries. Existing literature suggests that this area of international business literature is relatively understudied and reasons for conducting more research exist. In this paper, i test three hypotheses using a logistic regression model. More specifically, this paper looks at the role of contributed assets and organizational learning and experience in determining the choice between greenfield entry and acquisitions. The results suggest that host country experience and past entry experience has an impact on the current entry mode choice.

Membrane separation technology has added a new dimension in modern separation technology. The recent novel development in membrane process have made it possible to use various different purposes at economical rates with additional flexibility and improved efficiencies. Feed spacers can provide higher shearrates at the membrane surface. As a result concentration polarization and membrane fouling can be reduced. The present work is devoted to investigate the hydrodynamics in two dimensional spacer filled channels. Three different configurations of the cylindrical spacers are investigated with different channel Reynolds number and different meshlength. Different size and shape of formation of recirculation region, upstream and downstream of the spacers are closely observed. This recirculation regions have an important role in enhancing the mass transfer in reattachment region.
